Chester, VAI was traveling through Richmond on my way home from vacation when my check engine light suddenly came on, along with multiple other warning lights and alarms. River’s Bend Auto Care was the closest service station, so I pulled in and hoped for the best—and I am so grateful that I did! They were able to see me immediately, diagnose the problem, get the parts they needed, and have me back on the road within two hours. I truly cannot thank them enough for how well they took care of me. I was traveling alone and still about two and a half hours from home, so what could have been an incredibly stressful and horrible experience turned into one of my luckiest days. The service was exceptional, and everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely concerned about making sure I could get back on the road safely. I cannot recommend River’s Bend Auto Care enough. Thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and outstanding service—and most of all, for getting me home safely!

Chester, VAMy car wouldn't start. As soon as I got there John asked how he could help. He immediately recognized that a few of the screws around the battery were loose which was causing the problem. He was able to resolve the issue and got my car started in 5 minutes. He was very personable, attentive, competent and overall a wonderful mechanic. I highly recommend him and Rivers Bend Auto.

They went above and beyond — let me keep my Jeep there while it was waiting on a motor, worked around my schedule and issues, and were always friendly, patient, and professional. Fantastic shop with very helpful associates. I called due to my serpentine belt starting to break and due to that I had called four or five different repair shops in the area but all were unable to assit until I phoned River's Bend Auto Care. The ladies at the desk were very kind and efficient. Turned my car in at 2pm and by lunchtime the next day, it was finished! Didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee because I was able to inform them that I persume it was that belt was the problem. So far I have had an amazing experience and plan to use then in the future for all my repairs & inspections. Definitely can't recommend them enough.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I was in a real bind on my way to Florida when my VW Tiguan needed unexpected repairs, and they truly saved the day. Stewart and Aaron went above and beyond to help me out, professional, honest, and genuinely caring about getting me safely back on the road. Ryan, the mechanic, did an excellent job with the repair and made sure everything was done right. They took a stressful situation and turned it into a great experience. If you're looking for a team you can trust, especially when you're in a pinch, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I'm incredibly grateful for their honesty and attention to detail. They took the time to inspect my vehicle and discovered that a previous shop had not actually replaced a part they claimed to. We moved to VA from a state that didn't require annual inspections. We realized our inspection was due on our truck and called right before Christmas. They were wonderful to get us in Monday morning after Christmas weekend. We dropped it off at 8:30 am and by 9:30, we got a text it was done. A great place that we will continue to use for car repairs.

Electrical Services, near Chester, VAI recently went back about a problem with prior work that was done to my SUV. I spoke to the Manager there and he assured me it would be taken care of. I was skeptical. Not only did he take care of the one issue but, several others. Honest businesses that admit a mistake are very rare these days. Not only that the office staff was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of. Not only will I be back but, will tell my friends as well. Great job! Never change. Customer service is top notch.

Exceptional auto repair shop with the highest degree of honesty and integrity!!! I dropped off an Acura MDX for repair, thinking it needed a break and rotor replacement due to the grinding noise. I was expecting a costly repair. I received a phone call from the technician informing that everything was in good working condition and the noise was coming from a bent part that was hitting the rim. I ask for the diagnostic and repair cost, and to my complete surprise he said it was a quick fix and the shop was not going to charge anything for it. I have never experienced an auto repair shop that exhibited such a high degree of honesty and integrity. I will strongly recommend River's Bend Auto Care to all the people I know going forward because it's extremely difficult to find an auto repair shop that provides exceptional service like this.

I delt with Michel and Brittany, both of whom were very understanding of our situation and very thoughtful and helpful. Michel was a delight to work with and to talk to over the phone. he really went the extra mile to help relieve some of our stress that we were experiencing. He also gave us all the options that we could go down for our Van. We chose to not repair our van for multiple reasons so they didn't do any mechanical work on our vehicle , however if they work on vehicles anything like they treat their customers I would use them every time. This place and its people are amazing highly recommend.

I have taken my cars to C & J auto for at least 20 yrs. Both locations. Recently, my young son was having issues with his 2007 Maxima overheating and smoking while idling. When they'd fix one thing, something else would happen. They continued to work on his car until they got it right. They even gave him a card for a free oil change. AND, Wade is hilarious!

First of all, let me say that I will be eating humble pie as i write this. (Yummy, it's tasty tho!) However I am not beyond admitting when I am wrong and in this case I was. At the beginning of dealing with this shop I had huge sticker shock because it was a starter issue and not understanding anything about starters and how they destroy the battery when the starter is dead I just assumed that they were throwing in extra stuff for no reason. Well this was not the case at all. The starter was dead and so they had to replace that and that was fine but the battery replacement was well beyond my means for what I could pay for a replacement of a battery. So I declined the battery replacement and decided to just get the starter replaced. Then I wrote a bad review about them and I wrongly accuse them of being slightly nefarious in their dealings. Because this was a big deal to them and because they really disliked having things be misunderstood they actually called me and we discussed things and at the end of the phone call I was really glad that they did call and address this with me. Having had previous experiences with other places where there was extraneous and needless repair costs , I think over time it can traumatize you. The owner Wade (or maybe Wayne, I have terrible hearing)actually offered to contact Walmart which where I had bought the defunct one that was in the car, but that didn't seem to pan out and that's okay because they ended up replacing it and also waving the labor costs for the replacement (since that's what I was hung up on) so that I could get it out of the shop and use it again. Due to me having disability at the moment and due to my disability directly affecting my ability to provide income to my family or barely keep a roof overhead, it still took me close to 3 weeks to be able to come up with the amount for just the starter. So it was a huge crunch for us and it was bad timing but I'm really really glad that I chose to get my car towed there. I didn't know much about them at all and I hadn't had but maybe one thing done there before. But I was really glad that I met them and really glad that they were the ones that I chose in the end. I do find that they are some of the most honest and kind individuals that I have ever dealt with when it comes to car shops and auto repair shops. But originally, I was expecting hell and being taken for a ride so, in my mind that's where it went. Hey, we all have issues. Mine revolve around bad car shop experiences! They have a really soft heart for people and they understand things are not always easy for everyone and the compassion that was shown to me was remarkable and I will remember it for the rest of my life. Living kindly is one of the most important things that we can do as human beings. It is such an honor to meet a small business that genuinely embraces this philosophy in their business dealings.
